Take an evening stroll along Pendennis Headland. Dominating the entrance to the river Fal, Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, was the last Royalist stronghold to fall to Cromwell.

Below the castle is the Coastguard Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre which co-ordinates search and rescue operations locally and worldwide. For longer walks, take a ferry to the lovely Roseland peninsular, or explore the coastal path south to the Lizard and Lands end. You will discover miles of diverse coastline, wild moorland and secluded coves.

If you are back packing, we are very close to the seafront and the Coast path, and we are happy to welcome walkers for a single night or longer.
